An EE=MD² ™ Poem
Look at your hands.
See your fingers.
Move each finger.
Stretch out your open hands.
Spread your fingers.
Close your fingers into a fist – slowly. Observe.
Each joint, each fingernail, each fingerprint is yours, no one else has a hand exactly like yours.
Each finger has muscles, ligaments, nerves and blood vessels.
Imagine the blood flowing into and out of your hand.
Imagine if the digital arteries and veins weaved randomly across your palm and fingers.
How many nicks and lacerations (cuts) across your fingertips and scrapes along your knuckles and joints
might sever (cut or puncture) an artery or vein, resulting in massive blood loss?
But, your hand Was Created to tuck those arteries and nerves, as well as your ligaments and tendons, into the protected places of your wrist, palm, and digits (fingers).
Look at your fingers and think about where is your protected flesh.
That is where those blood vessels Were Placed.
Why would the essential digital nerves run randomly? In fact, they, too, run in “safe” places of your digits.
So goes the rest of your body.
Life-giving blood flows through your arteries (away from the heart) bringing oxygen, glucose and other nutrients to every cell in your body out to the tips of your fingers and down to the tips of your toes.
Life-cleansing blood flows through your veins venturing back to the heart from every cell in your body, from the fingertips and the toe tips, from your scalp, and from your inner being. That flow of blood transports carbon dioxide to your lungs to expire for replacement with oxygen your lungs inspire.
Your blood flows to your miraculous liver and kidneys to remove and break down toxins to cleanse your body:
Always, Non-stop, Day-in and Day-out, Without ceasing as long as your lungs breathe and your heart beats the Life of you on this earth.
Life-protecting nerves bring awareness. Keen awareness from the sensations of your nerves to protect you.
Bypassing your conscious mind to avoid wasted time, reflex arcs cause your muscles to contract to extract your fingertip from the hot pan or your foot from the sharp object under its touch.
Without nerves sending impulses of pain, our digits, our noses, our joints would rest unmoved by assaults of heat, trauma, infection, cold, or caustic materials: breakdown of the protective barrier of skin and blocking of feedback signals warning our brains of health concerns.
Any breakdown of our protected bodies can permit destructive forces (like germs) to enter into the miraculous human body.
Look at your open hand.
What do you see?
Do you see folds and creases of skin?
Watch the movement of your fingers and palm.
Do you see the flesh move and the creases change?
Can you imagine the expansion and contraction of the muscles (sinews) beneath that skin?
Touch one palm with a finger of the other hand.
What and where do you feel that? Aha, in the touched palm and in the touching fingertip!
Ponder the miracle of that event that occurs often and randomly.
With our hands we can create.
We can form clay into beautiful bowls, figures, shapes.
We can write strokes of pen, pencil, brush, feather, stick, or other objects to form words, pictures, diagrams, and dreams that were never seen, spoken, or heard before. . . ever . . . .
We can move our fingers across a computer touch pad or tap keystrokes to type words and forms, to store and move documents, to create code that causes actions to occur.
We can grasp tools, remove parts, apply pressure, connect circuits, and more to build, repair, and optimize equipment, eyeglasses, vehicles, airplanes, appliances, and more.
We can operate machinery, large and small.
How much more our hands allow us to do!
With our hands we can caress and encourage others.
Yet, with our hands we can harm one another.
We can crush with selfish, evil intent:
We can work the doings that take another’s life and breath, ending that miraculous flow of the nourishing and cleansing blood.
With our fingers, we can type the words, the images, the programming, yea the hacking to take from others.
The miracles of the human hands are more than can be imagined for good and for evil.
Why not for Good? Let your hands serve The Living GOD.
He Leads us into Strength and into Innovation in our Service of Him.
Any evil use of our marvelous hands is revolt against Father GOD, Who Created the Wonder of our fingers and hands.
Observe with thankfulness the workings and doings of your hands this week.
Observe, ponder, and marvel.
Ask GOD What He Desires of you?
Many educational resources exist for you to study the anatomy of the hand and the fingers.
How amazing that such resources are at the touch . . .
of your fingertips through computer, through internet search, through libraries, through the touch of the creation around you.
Hallelujah!
May Jesus Bless you:
May He Open your eyes to SEE and Unplug your ears to HEAR!
