The One Who Was The Word Spoken,
The Word that Spoken Created the universe,
Became the Babe Whose “Spoken Words” Were not Spoken.
His muted Words Were mere cries, coos of human babe.
The One Who Was, with Father, One with Him,
Beheld each Creation day to Declare of what He Saw, “It is Good!”
Became Swaddled Babe, Whose Focus Beheld awash
a blurred world in soft swirls of forms, colors confused.
The One, Whose Hovering Spirit O’er unformed deep,
Walked the Creation He Formed,
Became The Babe Whose wakened limbs would only Jerk reflexly,
His Muscles now forced to Learn the Purposed Motions of GOD.
The One Who Formed the tree of wood
which He Carved into Carpenter’s art,
Became Apprentice Carpenter to His Fathers’
perfecting preparations for The Old Rugged Cross.
The One Whose Coming Was Proclaimed
“Lamb of GOD, Who Takes away the sins of the world!”
Became the Rabbi of rabbis, the Son of GOD and man,
Who Walked lands Made Holy and Fulfilled every prophecy of old.
The One Who Gathered the waters
together and Turned water into wedding wine,
Became the GOD-man Who Healed, Making blind to see,
lame to walk, dead to live, and the possessed to be free.
The One Who Placed fishes into seas,
Filled fishermen’s boats and Made them fishers of men,
Became Son of GOD Who Fed fish and loaves to thousands
as He Taught the lost sheep to know Their Good Shepherd.
The One Who Is The Beloved,
Only Begotten Son, Lamb of GOD, Holy One,
Became The One Who Taught the people, Challenged the rabbis,
Disrupted money tables, Bothered Roman magistrates, and Angered Pharisees.
The One Whose Word Made the metals
that mere man forged into the very nails that pierced His Wrists and Feet,
Became The Sacrifice Lamb, Savior of mankind,
Who Was mocked, Spoke no defense, Endured lashings, and Bore the fetid thorn-crown.
The One Whose Word Created the wood that human carpenter
fashioned into the wooden cross to which His Body Was Hung,
Suffered the Agony of that hanging with the Hope of us Compelling Him to Cling
That His Holy Innocent Shed Blood Would Pay the carpenter’s wages of sins.
The One Who Is Wholly Holy to Forgive, to Heal, and to Receive Glory and Praise,
Collapsed Carrying that Old Wooden Cross upon which He Was Crucified while Forgiving another crucified,
“This day, you Shall Be with Me in GOD’s Paradise.”
The One Whose Holy Breath Is GOD’s,
Breathed air He Created through nostrils He Formed and
Became He Who, Separated from His Father, Suffered the Breaking of His Heart.
Commending Only Begotten Son to The Father, He Breathed His last Dying Breath.
Looking up to His Father and Clinging to Holy Spirit, Son Saw the Agony and Hope They Together Shared as Their Heart Broke and,
Giving up the Ghost, He Proclaimed, “It Is Finished!”
Father Turned to Behold Crucified Son,
Saw The Price of Obedience, and Declared,
“Finished: It is Paid!
“Behold The Lamb of GOD, Who Took upon Himself the sins of the world!”
Hovering over the Blood-stained Crucified Lamb of GOD,
Seeing the sting of death gone and the power of sin broken,
Holy Spirit Moaned with Groans What Words cannot Speak.
Purchasing everlasting life for us, The Perfect Lamb of GOD
Endured the Pain of death’s Separation from His Father.
That One,
The Messiah,
Jesus The Christ,
Yeshua HaMashiach
Was, Is, and Ever Shall Be
Beloved,
Believed,
Bemused,
Betrayed, Be-muted, Battered
Berated, Blasphemed, Beaten
Broken,
Blungeoned
Bereft,
Bemoaned,
Bereaved,
Beheld, and
Buried
Then, He Breathed Afresh,
He Rose Again,
He Lives Anew,
He Reigns Victorious.
He Conquered for us Sin’s Separation from The Father,
He Earned for us the Unmerited Favor of Mercy’s Eternal Love,
He Suffered for us with Grace that Agony of created man’s mortal sin,
He Won for us the Unending Eternal Eternity of Salvation,
He Was, He Is, and He Ever Shall Be The Glorious Glory of GOD’s Gift to fallen man.
“Behold The Lamb of GOD, Who Takes away the sins of the world!”
He Is the Only Wholly Holy One!
The One!
Amen
